Here's One that Could Create a Discussion.....

I found this article Mom microwaves Baby on WSBT.com and was rather appalled to find that this woman did not receive the death penalty for microwaving her month old baby. Apparently she was drunk and had no excuse for doing this and no motive. Really? We spare the death penalty for that kind of excuse? She was sentenced to life in prison. Here's what makes me mad. She will not have to pay bills, she will be taken care as far as shelter, food, and have a bed to sleep in every night. Why does she receive a privileged life in prison when she microwaved her own flesh and blood? She microwaved a human that could only reply with a cry. The month old couldn't put a hand up to fight or bite to defend. So while she's in her grave her mother gets to live while citizens pay for her stay. As the prosecutor says, 'If this is not the time for the death penalty, when is the time?'

  1. Isn't that sick.... I wonder what the judge's reasoning is. She deserves death. But, I'm sure because 'she was under the influence' she gets off easy like that. Why do people get away with things when they're under the influence. They chose to be under the influence, therefore they should be responsible for their actions.... grr....
